ARRAN Sense of Scotland
ARRAN Sense of Scotland is an independent Scottish fragrance, bath and body maker based at Home Farm on the Isle of Arran. Janet Russell and her husband Ian founded the company in 1989 as Arran Aromatics, blending scented soaps and body creams in their island cottage kitchen using the soft, mineral rich water that still goes into every product. The original Apothecary Collection followed in 1992, and the signature After the Rain fragrance, built on rose, honeysuckle and lime, arrived in 1999. The company adopted the ARRAN Sense of Scotland name in 2016 to tie the brand more firmly to the island itself, renaming its collections after Arran landmarks such as Glenashdale and Glen Rosa. Eaux de parfum, eaux de toilette, body mists, candles and a men's collection of Lochranza and Machrie are all made on the island.
