Persolaise

Persolaise is the pen name of Dariush Alavi, a London-based fragrance critic who has been reviewing scent in print and online since the mid-2000s. He is a four-time winner of the Fragrance Foundation UK's Jasmine Awards (2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015), the industry's own annual recognition for fragrance writing, and his bylines run through Harrods Magazine, The Sunday Times, Conde Nast Traveller, Wallpaper*, Business Traveller and Grazia, alongside long-form work for Basenotes and Now Smell This. He also wrote Le Snob: Perfume, a published guidebook (Hardie Grant), and compiles an ongoing London Perfume Shopping Guide.
