Holly flower is the small white bloom of the holly. No commercial extract exists. The bloom gives up aroma weakly and inconsistently, so the note in a bottle is built from aromachemicals: a faint green-floral with honey sweetness. It is a modifier, not a subject.

Holly Flower smells softly floral, faint and a little ethereal rather than heavy. A fresh, leafy green runs underneath the bloom. A trace of honey sweetness lifts through the middle, gentle rather than syrupy. The whole thing carries a soft powdery edge and a faint sweetness that rounds off the floral note.

Ilex aquifolium flowers in late spring in small white four-petalled clusters. Premiere Peau states plainly that 'holly flower has no commercial perfumery extract' and that any such note is 'a conceptual accord - a faint green-floral honey-sweet reconstruction built from hydroxycitronellal, methyl ionones, and trace mimosa or honey-floral building blocks'. The term is attested 3 times on Fragrantica and has no Parfumo page.
Usage in Perfumery
A supportive modifier in niche compositions, adding botanical specificity rather than structure. Premiere Peau says it contributes atmosphere and does not dominate.
