Nebulone
Note Profile
About
Soft powdery musk on a woody-amber base
Scent Profile
Nebulone smells of soft, powdery musk, close to warm clean skin. A gentle woody-amber depth sits under the musk and gives it body. A faint warm sweetness and a light fruity glow show at the edges. It is heavier and less spicy than Cashmeran.

Origin
Nebulone is a captive musk molecule made by IFF, CAS 365411-50-3. It is a synthetic, built as a heavier and longer-lasting relative of Cashmeran and moved towards the musk family. A forum post relays that it is a polycyclic musk. IFF keeps it for its own perfumers, so independent perfumers cannot buy it.
Usage in Perfumery
Perfumers use it in the base as a soft, powdery skin musk with more weight than Cashmeran. It gives volume and a woody-amber depth under musky and powdery accords. Independent perfumers use replacer bases, such as Fraterworks Nebulux, to get the same effect.
