Authentic Self Woman sits in Abercrombie & Fitch's Authentic collection, composed by Linda Chinery and launched in 2023. It is the most conspicuous bottle in the line: a weighty, opaque yellow ceramic flacon with a clear cap and a cork-textured front panel carrying the logo. The styling tells you what to expect - optimism, sunlight, nothing complicated. The opening delivers exactly that. Lemon zest gives a sharp citrus snap, juicy pear adds a soft, watery sweetness, and gooseberry contributes a tart green-fruit edge. Some retailers list red or blackcurrant in place of the gooseberry, which is almost certainly the same tart fruity accord described differently. The effect is bright and slightly fizzy without being sugary. The heart is a clean white floral trio. Freesia leads with its peppery, dewy quality, jasmine petals add fullness and a touch of indole, and lily-of-the-valley supplies a green, soapy freshness.
