Alexandria Fragrances Hacivaz OUD is an Eau de Parfum. Hacivaz OUD opens with Citrus, Pepper, Pink Pepper, and Pineapple, settles into a heart of Jasmine and Frankincense, and dries down to a base of Vetiver, Oud, Patchouli, and Vanilla. Alexandria Fragrances's Hacivaz OUD carries an Acquired verdict, a oud-led wear.

Hacivaz Oud goes after Nishane's richer Hacivat Oud, matching the pineapple-pepper-frankincense-oud arc, but the raw, animalic oud punch that defines the Dominique Ropion original comes through much softer and shorter-lived.

About

Hacivaz Oud takes on the deeper, more intense sibling to Nishane's Hacivat, following the same pineapple-citrus-pepper opening into a frankincense-jasmine heart before landing on an oud-vetiver-patchouli-vanilla base. The bright, juicy pineapple-and-pepper top is a solid match for the original's fireworks-display opening. The real gap is in the base - Hacivat Oud, composed by Dominique Ropion, is known for an oud that crashes in with a raw, animalic punch that reviewers describe as genuinely challenging before it mellows into smoky incense, earthy patchouli and vanilla, backed by massive all-day projection. Hacivaz Oud's version smooths that rawness out from the start, giving a gentler, more conventionally pleasant oud-vanilla close that lacks the original's edge and fades noticeably sooner, making this an easier-to-wear but less dramatic take on the same idea.
