Amouage Molook is a perfume oil. Molook opens with Taif Rose, settles into a heart of Amber, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood and Oud. Amouage's Molook carries an Acquired verdict, a floral-led wear.

Molook is divisive, a true love-it-or-hate-it oud bomb. It's a challenging, unapologetic fragrance for those who crave the deepest, most authentic oud, but it's certainly not for everyone.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Molook opens with an intense, almost animalic blast of authentic oud, softened ever-so-slightly by the green, bright notes of Taif rose. As the initial 'barnyard' intensity settles, a rich, resinous amber emerges, weaving itself into the dark, woody core. The drydown reveals a smoother, chalky sandalwood alongside the persistent, deep oud, leaving a trail of opulent, ancient smokiness.
