Mod Vanilla Body Mist

The mist version of Mod Vanilla, the 2022 Eau de Parfum built around a soft, powdery take on vanilla rather than a bakery one. It opens unusually, with musk listed alongside the top notes so the first impression is already skin-like rather than sharp, while plum adds a stewed-fruit sweetness and pink freesia lays a clean, slightly soapy floral over the top. The heart is the most characterful part: orris root gives that distinctive cool, powdery, faintly rooty quality that keeps the composition from collapsing into sugar, and praline supplies a nutty caramelised warmth alongside it. From there the base is straightforward and comforting, with vanilla and cocoa butter producing a creamy, almost buttery finish that sits close to the skin. As a body mist it is heavily diluted, so expect an hour or two of soft presence and effectively no trail. That makes it a layering product first: sprayed liberally after a shower or under the matching Eau de Parfum it does useful work, whereas used alone it fades quickly. It suits autumn and winter best, is perfectly office-safe, and is a low-risk way to test whether the powdery vanilla direction appeals before buying the full-strength bottle.
