Blossom Perfumery 476 Fame is an Eau de Parfum. 476 Fame opens with Bergamot and Mango, settles into a heart of Jasmine and Frankincense, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood and Vanilla. Blossom Perfumery's 476 Fame carries an Acquired verdict, a tropical-led wear.

No.476 matches Rabanne Fame's mango-jasmine-incense notes practically one for one, but the incense reads noticeably softer here, leaving the tropical-vanilla side more dominant than the smoky balance of the original.

About

Rabanne Fame made a splash by pairing juicy mango with a genuinely smoky, resinous olibanum, and No.476 borrows the exact same note list - mango and bergamot up top, jasmine and frankincense at the heart, vanilla and sandalwood underneath. The tropical mango opening is convincing and instantly recognisable against the original. Where the dupe pulls back is the incense: Fame's olibanum has a genuinely smoky, almost church-like density that gives the fragrance its edge, while here it is dialled down into a softer, more generic warmth, so the overall impression skews sweeter and more straightforwardly fruity-vanilla than the real thing. It still performs well for a couple of hours before settling into a pleasant vanilla-sandalwood skin scent, making it a fun daytime option for anyone who loves the mango-jasmine idea but does not need Fame's smokier signature.
