Dame Perfumery Earth Mother is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2017, created by Jeffrey Dame. Earth Mother opens with Lemon, Sage, and Caramel, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, and Galbanum, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, Sandalwood, and Patchouli. Dame Perfumery's Earth Mother carries a Statement verdict, a sweet-led wear.

This is Angel for people who hate Angel - a comforting, grown-up patchouli gourmand that manages to be both earthy and sweet. It's a divisive one, some find it too much, others find it their perfect 'my skin but better' scent. Definitely try before you buy.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Fall Winter
Also Works:
Spring Summer

Versatile across every season - no clear seasonal preference from wearers.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Casual
Also Works:
Office Formal

Its moderate sillage and comforting, versatile profile make it excellent for casual wear and dates. While long-lasting, its earthy sweetness might be a bit much for some office environments, and it's too warm for sport. It could work for some less strict formal occasions.

Declarable allergens

We derive these from the materials behind this fragrance's notes, not from the bottle. Each one is likely, not confirmed. The list is partial - the box can name others.

In standard patch-test panels

  • Citral Geranial from Lemon

Other declarable allergens

  • Sandalwood Santalol from Sandalwood
  • Synthetic musk Hexamethylindanopyran from Musk
  • Vanillin from Vanilla

The large name is the everyday one. The small name is the INCI form on the box, so you can compare the two. Reactions differ between people. A patch-test panel is not a ranking of risk. How we derive this

About

Earth Mother opens with a surprising zing of lemon and a hint of herbal sage, quickly softening into a creamy, not-too-sweet caramel. As it develops, a gentle floral heart of jasmine and lily-of-the-valley emerges, given a green, slightly bitter edge by galbanum. The dry-down is a warm, enveloping blend of earthy patchouli, soft musk, and rich amber, grounded by creamy sandalwood and a touch of vanilla, creating a uniquely comforting yet sophisticated aura.
