Eden Perfumes No.306 Illicit is an Eau de Parfum. No.306 Illicit opens with Bitter Orange and Ginger, settles into a heart of Rose and Jasmine, and dries down to a base of Amber, Sandalwood, and Honey. Eden Perfumes's No.306 Illicit carries an Acquired verdict, a floral-led wear.

No.306 follows Jimmy Choo Illicit's ginger-and-bitter-orange opening into a honeyed rose-jasmine heart faithfully enough to read as the same fragrance family, trading some of the original's polish for a shorter, simpler finish.

About

Jimmy Choo's Illicit was built around perfumer Anne Flipo's take on a modern floral - ginger and bitter orange opening the composition before rose and jasmine sambac settle in over a honey-amber base with sandalwood underneath, designed for a wearer the brand described as tempting, seductive and in control. Eden's No.306 tracks that structure closely: the spiced ginger-orange opening is a fair match, and the rose-jasmine heart into honeyed amber captures the original's warm, slightly gourmand floral character. It thins out faster than the designer version though, with the honey-amber base fading to a simple sandalwood-musk finish rather than lingering with Illicit's fuller sillage. Still, for anyone drawn to the ginger-rose-honey combination, this is a convincing and inexpensive way in, and suits date-night or evening wear where you want something warm and a little bit assertive without the designer price tag attached.
