Eden Perfumes No.483 Pomegranate Noir is an Eau de Parfum. No.483 Pomegranate Noir opens with Rhubarb, Watermelon, Plum, and Raspberry, settles into a heart of Rose, Jasmine, Lily Of The Valley, and Pink Pepper, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, Cedar, and Patchouli. Eden Perfumes's No.483 Pomegranate Noir carries an Acquired verdict, a fruity-led wear.

No.483 dupes Jo Malone's Pomegranate Noir, a dark, spicy fruity fragrance famous for its rich pomegranate-clove-patchouli intensity. The niche original is polarising for its strength - Eden's version follows the same pyramid closely but is noticeably lighter, trading some of the original's smoky, adult drama for an easier daily wear.

About

Jo Malone's Pomegranate Noir stands apart from the brand's usual light, simple colognes as a genuinely rich and moody fragrance, and Eden Perfumes' No.483 follows its published pyramid closely: raspberry, pomegranate, plum, rhubarb and watermelon up top, lily of the valley, jasmine, rose, pink pepper and clove in the heart, and cedar, patchouli, musk and amber underneath. That fidelity to the notes shows in the wear - the tart, sharp fruit opening gives way to a genuinely spicy, peppery heart before settling into a smoky, earthy base that echoes the original's adult, introverted character. Where reviewers are split on the Jo Malone version - some finding it rich and comforting, others sharp and overtly clove-heavy with little pomegranate to be found - No.483 leans toward the gentler reading, softening some of that sharp clove edge into a more rounded, wearable spiced-fruit profile. It doesn't match the original's reported intensity or the way Pomegranate Noir can dominate a room, but it captures the essential mood: dark, fruity and spicy rather than bright or fresh. Best suited to autumn and winter evenings, dates or dressier occasions where a confident, slightly mysterious fragrance is called for, this is a fair way to try Jo Malone's signature dark side without the niche price.
