This one's a bit of a head-scratcher. Suspenso promised to be a D&G Pour Homme clone, but seems to have veered wildly off course. Expect a strong, somewhat brutal fragrance with a play-doh amber note by some accounts, and truly patchy performance. Don't blind buy.

Suspenso opens with a distinctly green and herbaceous burst, thanks to fresh lavender and basil intertwined with the unusual marigold and geranium. It's a slightly damp, earthy freshness hinting at rain. The heart then shifts to a more rugged, rustic feel with dry hay and clary sage, underpinned by a peculiar fruity-bran accord and a soft tobacco. The journey ends on a warm, resinous base of labdanum and amber, with the smooth woodiness of cypress and sandalwood, all wrapped in a subtle musk.
