Destination Ibiza Radiant Shimmer Fragrance Mist

Ibiza Radiant belongs to Guess's Destination range, a set of shimmer mists each built around a resort. The shimmer is not incidental: this sprays out with fine gold particles suspended in it, so it leaves a light sheen on skin as well as a scent, which is worth knowing before you spray it on a work shirt. The scent itself is a bright fruity floral. Citrus and litsea cubeba open it, litsea being a lemony, slightly grassy material that gives the top a green sharpness ordinary citrus does not, and cherry adds a sweet red-fruit roundness underneath. Jasmine, honeysuckle and white flowers make the heart, creamy and warm in the way tropical florals usually are, and vanilla, sandalwood and musk finish it off softly. Like every mist in this format it wears close and briefly, an hour or two at most, so it is meant to be reapplied liberally through a hot day. Best in summer, on holiday, in the evening. Guess pitch it at the woman wanting the beaming energy of the island, which is a fair description of a gold-shimmer citrus floral.
