Le Male Pride shares a bottle silhouette with Le Male and almost nothing else. Where the 1995 original is a barbershop of lavender, mint and vanilla, the Pride editions are built as citrus colognes, and the 2026 version follows that template closely. Blood orange and yuzu open it, tart and juicy, with the yuzu giving a sharper, slightly bitter edge than a straight orange accord would. It is an immediately likeable opening and a genuinely refreshing one. Orange blossom and neroli take the heart, and neroli is the note most wearers end up describing as the dominant character of the whole thing. It brings a clean, faintly soapy floral quality that sits somewhere between citrus peel and white petal, and it gives the scent more elegance than the fruity opening suggests. White woods and musk finish it, quiet and skin close, adding a blonde woody dryness rather than any real depth. Performance is the weak point and reports vary widely, from around seven hours down to eau fraiche behaviour that fades within a couple. Assume moderate. Wear it in spring and summer, in daylight, to work, casually, or anywhere hot where a heavier scent would suffocate. Its lightness is the appeal, not a flaw, provided you buy it knowing what it is.
