Lush Smuggler's Soul is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2014, created by Simon Constantine. Lush's Smuggler's Soul carries a Statement verdict, a woody-led wear.

This is a love-it-or-hate-it sandalwood, divisive from the get-go. Some find it a calming, authentic woody embrace; others get hit with furniture polish, cleaning products, or even gasoline. Definitely one to try before you buy.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Smuggler's Soul opens with a surprising, sharp blast of citrus and lemongrass, often described as green and almost medicinal. This quickly gives way to a prominent, dry sandalwood - less creamy, more raw and authentic, with a distinct vetiver earthiness. It settles into a warm, somewhat powdery woody base, a simple yet sturdy composition that some find deeply comforting, others a bit too stark and unyielding.
