Eterna is Luxe Fragrances' interpretation of Valentino's Uomo Born In Roma (2019), the bergamot-ginger-vanilla composition built for the fashion-conscious modern man. The retailer's own product copy for this SKU carried an identical pyramid to an unrelated fragrance elsewhere on their site, so the notes here come from community research into the real Born In Roma structure: bergamot and violet leaf open with an unexpected ginger spice-kick, sage and lavender build a sophisticated aromatic heart, and bourbon vanilla wrapped around woody notes forms the warm, lingering base that gives the original its distinct mineral-aromatic-woody identity. The dupe captures that opening bergamot-ginger freshness reasonably well in the first hour. The gap widens through the dry-down - the genuine Valentino keeps a robust, room-filling projection for seven-plus hours where this version fades to a soft vanilla-woody skin scent well before that. A workable everyday alternative for office and casual wear when the designer bottle isn't in the budget.
