Luxe Fragrances Absolis is an Eau de Parfum. Absolis opens with Bergamot, Lavender, and Mint, settles into a heart of Orange Blossom and Cinnamon, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood, Vanilla, and Tonka Bean. Luxe Fragrances's Absolis carries a Favourite verdict, a aromatic-led wear.

Luxe Fragrances' Absolis is a budget nod to Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male - mint and lavender over a cinnamon-orange blossom heart, closing on vanilla and tonka. Recognisably in the Le Male family though noticeably thinner through the drydown.

About

Absolis is Luxe Fragrances' interpretation of Jean Paul Gaultier's 1995 Le Male, the mint-lavender-vanilla fougere that put JPG on the men's fragrance map and still anchors the brand's whole line. The house's own product copy for this SKU carried a mismatched pyramid (identical to a completely different fragrance on the same page), so the notes here are compiled from community consensus on what Le Male actually smells like: a crisp mint-lavender opening, cinnamon and orange blossom warming the heart, and the signature vanilla-tonka-sandalwood base that made Le Male one of the most recognisable men's scents of the nineties. The opening is the strongest match - that cool mint-lavender combination lands close to the real thing in the first thirty minutes. Where it diverges is projection and lasting power: the genuine Le Male famously carries for eight-plus hours with real presence, while this budget version settles to skin within a few hours and the vanilla-tonka base reads sweeter and less structured. A reasonable everyday alternative to the JPG bottle for date nights and casual wear, without expecting the sillage that made the original famous.
