Perfume Parlour Japanese Complete is an Eau de Parfum launched in 1994. Japanese Complete opens with Bergamot, Lemon, Mandarin, and Yuzu, settles into a heart of Geranium, Lily Of The Valley, Lotus, and Cinnamon, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, Cedar, and Sandalwood. Perfume Parlour's Japanese Complete carries a Favourite verdict, an aquatic-led wear.

Japanese Complete chases Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme's aquatic-citrus-woody classic. The bright yuzu-and-calone opening over watery florals and clean woods reads true to the brief, but as a budget dupe it lands flatter and lighter than the original.

About

Japanese Complete opens on a zesty citrus burst of yuzu, mandarin, lemon and bergamot, threaded with a watery calone note and a whisper of tarragon and sage - the sparkly, fresh start that made Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme a 90s benchmark. The heart adds a soft watery-floral lift of blue lotus and lily of the valley, lightly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg, before settling into a clean woody base of cedar, sandalwood, vetiver and amber. The overall character is fresh, aquatic and quietly woody - an easy daytime crowd-pleaser. As a Perfume Parlour budget interpretation it renders the composition flatter and more 2D than the designer: the salty, watery shimmer is muted, the woody-vetiver drydown thinner, and longevity sits skin-close at a few hours rather than the 6-8 the original can hold. Still, the yuzu-citrus-and-clean-woods signature comes through, making it an affordable everyday aquatic.
