Scentleys Mood is an Eau de Parfum. Mood opens with Rose and Violet, settles into a heart of Rose and Saffron, and dries down to a base of Amber, Oud, Vanilla, and Benzoin. Scentleys's Mood carries a Statement verdict, a rose-led wear.

Scentleys' reading of Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Oud Satin Mood (2015) - the polished rose-oud-vanilla niche icon, softened into a simpler rose-vanilla blend with less of the original's oud nuance.

About

Mood is Scentleys' interpretation of MFK's Oud Satin Mood, a rich rose-oud-vanilla composition where Bulgarian and Turkish rose lead over a polished, non-animalic oud softened with benzoin and amber. The dupe keeps the same rose-forward structure - rose and violet on top, a rose heart, oud-vanilla-amber base - but the oud accord itself reads thinner and less textured than MFK's refined woody-glow version, and the rose leans sweeter and more straightforward rather than luminous. The vanilla and benzoin warmth arrives earlier, masking some of the oud's presence entirely by the drydown. It is a pleasant rose-vanilla oriental rather than a precise rose-oud match, with four to six hours of moderate sillage against the MFK original's exceptional all-day performance. A fair way to sample the rose-oud niche category for cooler-weather evenings and dates without the four-figure price gap.
