Solstice Scents Jack and the Devil is an Eau de Parfum, created by Angela St.John. Solstice Scents's Jack and the Devil carries an Acquired verdict, a sweet-led wear.

Jack and the Devil is a spiced autumn bonfire in a bottle, with pumpkin and tobacco doing the heavy lifting. It is cosy, a little smoky and unashamedly seasonal. Wear it when the nights draw in, not in a heatwave.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Jack and the Devil is built from a single run of notes rather than a classic pyramid: spicy notes, patchouli, pumpkin, tobacco, amber, vanilla and oakmoss. The pumpkin and spice give it a baked, autumnal warmth, while tobacco and patchouli add a dry, earthy edge. Amber and vanilla round everything into something soft and comforting, and oakmoss keeps a mossy, woodland shadow underneath. It is a warm gourmand-leaning spicy scent that feels made for cold evenings.
