Sources describe Chemardin’s style as giving classic accords a modern, personal twist. She frequently works around tuberose, pairing this intense white floral note with fresh, sparkling facets like ginger and juniper berries. Her compositions for niche houses such as Versatile Paris tend to balance luminous, juicy or green effects with richer floral or gourmand structures rather than overtly heavy orientals.
Camille Chemardin is a French junior perfumer based in Paris. Born on 12 April 1997 in Lyon, she decided to become a perfumer after a visit to the Fragonard perfume museum in Grasse at age 10. After her baccalaureate she studied at the École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris, receiving multidisciplinary training in chemistry, marketing and perfume creation, and completed internships at Givaudan, Firmenich and Robertet. During her final internship she met Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel and subsequently joined their independent Paris perfume studio FLAIR, where she has worked as a junior perfumer for around five years. She has created fragrances for niche brands such as Versatile Paris, including Dimanche Flemme, Accrodisiaque and Rital Date, and for Marylise Mirabelli, and often cites tuberose, ginger and juniper berries among her preferred materials.
