Spain Born 0 Daniel Josier

Within his eponymous line Josier often works with rich orientals and leathers, exemplified by Ambre Tabac, which combines amber and tobacco, and Green Leather, which reworks a Tuscan-style leather accord with brighter, fruitier top notes for greater versatility and unisex appeal. His niche creations frequently reinterpret classic themes with modern, polished constructions rather than overtly experimental effects.

About

Daniel Josier is a Spanish perfumer and founder of the niche house that bears his name. After completing perfumery studies at ISPICA in 1997, he joined Haarmann & Reimer in Grasse, working on major accounts and, from 1998, was mentored for about six years by master perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena. In 2004 he moved to Iberchem as head of perfume creation for the Spanish market, and since 2008 he has represented Expressions Parfumées for Iberia, serving clients such as Puig, Carolina Herrera, Paco Rabanne, Prada, Valentino, Yves Rocher and L’Occitane. He created his own consultancy L’Atelier del Perfume in 2009 and launched his eponymous brand around 2013-2014. Within this line he has composed fragrances such as Ambre Tabac, Green Leather (a 2017 reformulation of his earlier Cuero de la Toscana) and Josune, named for his wife.
