Eau de Parfum
Ffern
Frequently works with natural materials and a pronounced woody backbone, as seen in his seasonal, nature-led fragrances for Ffern. His work includes reinterpretations of classic masculine structures such as vetiver in Lanvin Vetyver L’Homme (2003), balancing traditional French perfumery with contemporary formulations for brands and functional products alike.
François Robert is a French fourth-generation perfumer, son of perfumer Guy Robert and great-nephew of Henri Robert. He began formal perfume training at around 14 at the house of Rochas, after earlier studying chemistry at Escom in Paris. He further trained in Grasse and Geneva before working for several fragrance companies, including Quintessence, Dragoco (now Symrise) and Synarome. At Synarome he contributed to the updated 2003 version of Lanvin Vetyver L’Homme. Robert serves as master perfumer and manages the UK arm of Quintessence Fragrances, which develops hundreds of fragrances annually, and he has also created scents for Parfums de Rosine and for British brand Ffern alongside his protégé Elodie Durande.
