Nocturnes de Caron
Eau de Parfum
Parfums Caron
Documented work suggests a focus on classic French aldehydic florals for women, with rich top-note aldehydes over opulent white-flower hearts (jasmine, ylang-ylang, tuberose, orange blossom) and soft, vanillic, musky bases, as seen in Nocturnes de Caron and his 1972 reformulation of Caron Infini.
Gérard Lefort is a French perfumer best known for his work as an in-house perfumer at Parfums Caron during the 1970s and 1980s, as documented by Luckyscent. At Caron he worked alongside perfumers such as Dominique Ropion and Richard Fraysse. Lefort is credited with creating Nocturnes de Caron (also known as Nocturnes) for Caron, launched in 1981, a floral aldehyde fragrance whose detailed note pyramid is described in contemporary reviews and brand materials. He is also responsible for the well-known 1972 reformulation of Caron Infini, updating Ernest Daltroff’s 1912 original while retaining its aldehydic floral character.
