19th-century bespoke royal compositions - florals, citrus and woody-aromatic 'eau' styles
Henry Creed (Third Generation) was a 19th-century member of the Creed family lineage of tailor-perfumers, credited by Creed and Fragrantica as the nose behind several of the house's historic bespoke compositions for European royalty and aristocracy. Fragrantica attributes seven Creed fragrances to him, including Fleurs de Bulgarie (said by the house to date from 1845 and made for Queen Victoria) and Fantasia de Fleurs (for Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary). Note that all Creed history before roughly 1970 derives from the house itself and is not independently documented, so the precise dates and royal commissions should be read as brand lore rather than verified fact.
