Born and raised in Burgundy, France, Epinette initially pursued a Master's degree in Biochemistry at Burgundy University before following his passion for perfumery at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery. He joined Robertet in 2003, where he played a significant role in launching the company's New York Creative Center in 2006 and currently lives and works in New York City. Epinette's work spans a vast array of brands, from Byredo, Atelier Cologne, and Vilhelm Parfumerie to larger names like Victoria's Secret and L'Occitane en Provence. He is especially acclaimed for his extensive contributions to Byredo, where he crafted many of the house's most iconic scents. His reputation is built on his elegant blending of high-quality natural ingredients with innovative synthetics, resulting in fragrances that are both distinctive and highly wearable. Epinette's creative process is meticulous, employing mood boards and a keen sensitivity to how a perfume evolves on skin.
