Jono Bornstein is an American independent perfumer and the founder of Folkwinds, which he launched in 2022. The brand sets out to highlight North American made aromatic materials, designs and artwork, using mainly natural, American-sourced ingredients. He was already a member of the Basenotes forum when he launched it. The first three releases, Cloud Illusions, American Pharoah and Santi Ana, were extraits that the brand described as over 90 percent natural, with ingredients such as ambergris, sandalwood and floral absolutes. Parfumo lists around 48 fragrances credited to him, including Sleepy Hollow (2024) and several 2025 and 2026 releases.
