Based on her own statements, Côté-Mouzannar approaches perfume as a composition of “moments,” looking for a perfect accord and a coherent flow where every element has its place yet can stand out. Her work for Scents of Wood, including Oud in Calvados, Praline in Maple, Vanilla in Armagnac and Vetiver in Bloom, often combines gourmand, boozy and woody facets. Mainstream projects like Katy Perry Mad Potion and Natura Kriska Drama show her frequent use of sweet, creamy and vanillic notes contrasted with airy, vibrant woods or musks.

Natasha Côté-Mouzannar is a Canadian perfumer, born in Québec and raised in Toronto, who describes herself as a Québécoise and considers herself the only Canadian perfumer. She works as a senior perfumer at IFF and has created fragrances for numerous international brands, including Katy Perry, Natura, O Boticário, Rihanna, Mary Kay, Eudora, Vera Wang and Scents of Wood. Her credited creations include Katy Perry Mad Potion, Natura Kriska Drama and Natura Kaiak Aero, as well as Scents of Wood scents such as Oud in Calvados, Praline in Maple, Vanilla in Armagnac and Vetiver in Bloom. She has also worked on DKNY Orchard St and newer launches like Eternal Aura. Côté-Mouzannar has said that when she creates a perfume, she aims to create “moments,” seeking cohesion and coherence where all elements fit together even if they stand out.
