Rouquet emphasizes perfume as a vehicle for memory, creating scents intended to transport the wearer to specific places or times. She focuses on olfactory materials that evoke personal and collective memories, stating that her favourite smells are those most strongly linked to remembered experiences.[2][9]
Nathalie Rouquet is a French perfumer who trained as an Analyst Perfumer at ISIPCA before entering the fragrance industry.[2][9] She has worked as a Perfumer & Account Manager at Quintessence Fragrances, based in Newhaven, UK, where she develops fragrances for various brands.[1][6] Rouquet describes her approach as strongly memory-driven, noting that her favourite smells are closely tied to personal recollections.[2][9] In 2024, a solid fragrance she created for Sidia, crafted at Quintessence, won the Marie Claire US Fragrance Award for Best Solid Fragrance.[4]
