Olivier Durbano
Independent, stone-themed perfumery closely linked to his gemstone jewelry work; perfumes typically built around mineral, resinous and incense facets and conceptual narratives drawn from the symbolism and legends of specific stones (e.g., Rock Crystal, Black Tourmaline, Philosopher’s Stone).
Olivier Durbano is a French architect by training and a jewelry designer since around 2000 who later created his own niche perfume house under his own name.[1][3][8] His fragrances are conceptually tied to his "Bijoux de Pierres Poèmes" (Perfumes of Stones Poems), with each scent inspired by a specific gemstone or stone-related legend.[1][3][8] He launched his first perfume, Rock Crystal (Cristal de Roche), in 2005 and has continued to expand the collection with numerous stone-themed compositions.[3][7][8] Durbano develops his fragrances independently for his eponymous brand, and they are closely connected to his work in gemstone jewelry and symbolic, talismanic themes.[1][2][8]
