Shawn Maher is a St. Louis-based American artisan perfumer and the founder-perfumer of both Chatillon Lux and Maher Olfactive. He first became known in the wet shaving and grooming community through his fragrance work for Chatillon Lux before launching Maher Olfactive in 2020 as a separate perfume house to pursue more experimental compositions. Maher has been recognized by the Art and Olfaction Awards as a finalist in 2020 and received an honorable mention in the 2023 edition. His work often draws on St. Louis history and personal narratives, which he discusses in interviews and essays on Scent Notes and other platforms.
