About
Shawn Maher is a St. Louis-based American artisan perfumer and the founder-perfumer of both Chatillon Lux and Maher Olfactive.[1][3][4] He first became known in the wet shaving and grooming community through his fragrance work for Chatillon Lux before launching Maher Olfactive in 2020 as a separate perfume house to pursue more experimental compositions.[4][5][6] Maher has been recognized by the Art and Olfaction Awards as a finalist in 2020 and received an honorable mention in the 2023 edition.[4] His work often draws on St. Louis history and personal narratives, which he discusses in interviews and essays on Scent Notes and other platforms.[1][3][10]
