Oud-led perfume oils and Elixir sprays, made and matured in Redbourn, Hertfordshire

About Oud Attar

Oud Attar is a small British perfume house that makes oud-led perfume oils and sprays in Redbourn, Hertfordshire. It began selling rollerball oud oils online in 2018 and set up its Redbourn workshop in 2020. The house says its interest in oud started in the perfume markets of the East, followed by a decade of travel to source ingredients and build relationships with artisans.

Every scent in the range is built around oud and sold in two formats. The perfume oils come as 2ml and 15ml rollerballs, with a 50ml Oil Reserve for the core line since 2024. The Elixirs, added from 2021, are sprays that the house states are made at 30% oil or more and matured for ninety days sealed in steel before bottling. The core line covers ten scents, from the rose, saffron and frankincense of Dark Oud and Rose Oud to the cognac and praline of Sweet Oud and the leather and tobacco of Vivid Oud. Since 2023 the house has also released numbered limited editions of 200 to 500 bottles, each in oil and Elixir form.

Oud Attar sells direct from its own website rather than through stockists. Alongside the perfumes it makes candles, reed diffusers and body lotions in its core scents, and sells raw oud chips and burners for traditional bakhoor.
