About

Blackcurrant softened with dairy. The tart, catty cassis edge is rounded off by a milky, sweetened body, so it reads as fruit fool rather than as fresh fruit.

Scent Profile

Blackcurrant Creme smells of ripe blackcurrant softened into a milky, dairy-like sweetness, closer to a fruit fool than to fresh berries. A tart, sour edge from the raw cassis still shows through the cream. Underneath runs a faint green, leafy note and a whisper of sulphurous sharpness, both quieter than in plain blackcurrant, with a faint catty muskiness low in the back. A soft, clean musk rounds off the base.

What is ScentArt?

Origin

Not a distilled or extracted material. It is an accord: a cassis base or blackcurrant bud absolute paired with lactonic and vanillic materials so the sharp sulphurous top is damped. No supplier sheet or GC profile exists for a fixed material of this name. Parfumo uses the same '<fruit> creme' pattern for Pineapple creme, which supports reading creme here as a creamy treatment of the fruit rather than as a liqueur.

Usage in Perfumery

Three Parfumo entries, all placing it in the top: Boadicea the Victorious Pioneer, Maison Margiela Replica Promenade in the Gardens (both alongside mandarin orange and star anise) and Victoria's Secret Seduction No. 1 Dark Orchid, alongside bergamot, blood orange, plum and yuzu zest. In all three it does the job of a soft, sweet fruit opening rather than a dairy base.
