Prepared confection, not a material. There is no fudge extract. Parfumo records 30 perfumes with the note Fudge and catalogues Chocolate fudge as a separate note with 15. Perfumers build it from vanillin, lactones and caramelised-sugar materials.

Usage in Perfumery

Base of dairy gourmands. Ida Warg's Vanilla Fudge lists three notes, Caramel, Fudge and Vanilla, with no chocolate note at all, which is the clearest evidence that the plain term is used for chocolate-free formulations.
