About
The flower of Lawsonia inermis, the same plant that gives henna leaf. The bloom is small, cream-white and night-scented. Premiere Peau describes it as sweet, heavy and narcotic, against the leaf's green medicinal character. It is the basis of the Indian hina and gulhina attars.

Warm_spice is Kannauj Attar's spicy clove, held down because that attar is a compounded product and some of the spice belongs to the compound.

Origin

Usage in Perfumery
Used in Indian attar-making rather than in Western perfumery, where the leaf reference dominates. Sits in the heart, most often over a sandalwood base.
