Jojoba is a liquid wax cold pressed from the seeds of Simmondsia chinensis, a shrub native to arid parts of North America. It is close to odourless. What little smell it has is waxy and faintly nutty. It does not change over time. In perfume it is used as a carrier for essential oils and absolutes, not as a note.
