Origin
Composed. No material is extracted from ice cream. Perfumers build it from the same parts as any frozen-dessert accord: lactones for the churned dairy, vanillin and ethyl maltol for the sugar, and a pistachio or almond nut accord on top. DUA Fragrances prints the construction in its own copy, naming a 'Pistachio Ice Cream note' that it adds beside a separate roasted-pistachio-and-almond 'Nutty Accord', plus almond milk, vanilla bean and whipped cream.
Usage in Perfumery
A heart-to-base gourmand. DUA uses it to soften the nutty edge of a roasted-nut accord it names separately in the same paragraph. It sits with vanilla, almond, whipped cream and milk. Demeter sells it as a cologne spray and a perfume oil.
