Spritz Veneziano
Note Profile
About
Bitter orange cocktail with fizz and a herbal lift
Scent Profile
Spritz Veneziano smells of a glass of bitter orange aperitif topped with fizz. Bright, pulpy orange leads, with a bittersweet herbal edge behind it. A sparkling, tonic-like lift sits on top, and a light boozy warmth and a tart, rhubarb-like fruit run underneath.

Origin
Spritz Veneziano is the Venetian aperitif of Prosecco, soda water and a bitter orange liqueur. Wikipedia records that the original uses the liqueur Select and was created in Venice in 1920. As a note it is a constructed accord. Nothing is distilled from the drink.
Usage in Perfumery
Perfumers use it as a bright, sparkling top for summer and aperitif themes. Builders pair orange and lemon with bitter herbal notes such as gentian, rosemary and davana, and add a fizzy lift. Perfumes that print the word usually mean the whole glass, not the bottle of liqueur alone.
