Scent Profile

Citrus leads and both sources say so independently. Demeter calls the finished thing 'a unique, fresh citrusy fragrance' and the one review that describes the accord in a perfume says 'the lime was the best part and very zesty'. It is lime specifically, and the whole fruit, because the drink is made by mashing lime wedges rind and all. Sweet_vanillic is second and comes from the sugar muddled into that lime, named by both sources. Boozy is the cachaca, and carrying the widest spread in the file at 0.16, because only one reviewer describes it and describes it as 'rum-like' rather than as cachaca. Green is the crushed peel and the cane, and no source states it. It is carried down from the lime note rather than asserted, and its 0.14 spread says so.

Origin

Brazil's national cocktail, and in perfumery a fantasy accord rather than a material. Demeter Fragrance Library, which sells a single-note version, describes the build: cachaca, a spirit distilled from fresh sugar cane juice, with lime and sugar mashed together and the liquor added on top. Nobody distils a caipirinha. A perfumer assembles it from lime, a sugar accord and a rum-like or cane-like base, which is why two houses can print the same note name and not smell the same.

A top note for a bright, sweet citrus opening with a drink's warmth under it. Fragrantica files it under Beverages, 10 placements there and 10 on Parfumo across 9 brands, so it is small but printed by enough houses to be shared vocabulary rather than one brand's copy. Two narrower spellings, caipirinha-lemon and pomegranate-caipirinha, are rejected as single-brand terms. The nearest published neighbours are the candied citrus notes rather than the other cocktails: mojito sits at cosine 0.75 because its mint is absent here.
