Abbey Perfumery Flutey is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2024. Flutey opens with Boozy Notes and Freesia, settles into a heart of Nectarine and Blackcurrant, and dries down to a base of Amber and Vanilla. Abbey Perfumery's Flutey carries a Favourite verdict, a fruity-led wear.

Champagne and freesia over nectarine and blackcurrant, on amber and vanilla. A celebratory fruity floral, and a limited edition, so availability is finite.

About

Flutey is a limited edition and is exactly what it looks like: a celebratory fruity floral with no ambitions beyond being enjoyable. Champagne opens it, which as a fragrance material means an effervescent, slightly sharp fizziness rather than anything genuinely wine-like, and English freesia sits alongside it adding a peppery, clean floral edge. The heart brings nectarine and blackcurrant, and this is where it becomes properly fruity: the nectarine is soft and slightly fuzzy, the blackcurrant tarter, and together they stop the composition from being purely sparkling. Amber and vanilla take the base and give it a warmth that the top does not lead you to expect, so the drydown is softer and rounder than the opening, more comfortable than festive. It is uncomplicated and pleasant and does not ask much of the wearer. Performance is moderate. Spring and summer suit the top, autumn suits the base, and it works casually or on an occasion where sparkling is the point. Being a limited edition, it is only sold in 75ml and 2ml sample sizes and will not be around indefinitely.
