Abel Coat Check is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2023, created by Isaac Sinclair. Coat Check opens with Star Anise, settles into a heart of Chocolate and Blackcurrant, and dries down to a base of Tobacco. Abel's Coat Check carries a Statement verdict, a musk-led wear.

Divisive yet intriguing, Coat Check promises a dark, smoky tobacco but often delivers a lighter, fruitier experience. Expect a boozy, jammy opening that dries down to a pleasant, if sometimes fleeting, tobacco.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Coat Check opens with a fleeting whisper of star anise, quickly giving way to a rich, dark fruitiness from blackcurrant. As it develops, a warm, slightly gourmand chocolate note emerges, blending beautifully into a prominent tobacco base. This isn't a heavy, ash-laden smoke, but rather the sweet, unlit aroma of pipe tobacco or dried fruit and rum-soaked leaves.
