Aromara KOKO is an Extrait de Parfum. KOKO opens with Bergamot, Orange, and Grapefruit, settles into a heart of Rose, Jasmine, and Litchi, and dries down to a base of Musk, Vetiver, Patchouli, and Vanilla. Aromara's KOKO carries an Acquired verdict, a floral-led wear.

KOKO is Aromara's take on Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, matching the orange-rose-patchouli signature at a fraction of the near-£225 original. The bright citrus-floral opening reads accurately; Chanel's iconic patchouli-vetiver drydown is smoothed into a simpler, sweeter musk finish here.

About

KOKO is Aromara's version of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, arguably the most iconic fresh-floral of the modern era and a fragrance that single-handedly popularised the patchouli-citrus category. Aromara's take opens with orange, bergamot and grapefruit, moves into rose, jasmine and lychee through the heart, and closes on patchouli, vetiver, vanilla and white musk. The bright citrus opening and rose-jasmine heart are recognisably close to the original in the first couple of hours, which is the section people most associate with Coco Mademoiselle's identity. Where it diverges is in Chanel's signature dry patchouli-vetiver base, which has an almost powdery, sophisticated dryness that is genuinely difficult to replicate outside Chanel's own formulation - KOKO's version leans sweeter and mustkier by comparison, losing some of that dry elegance. It remains an easy, office-to-evening floral for anyone who loves the original's opening but doesn't want the designer price tag.
