Blossom Perfumery 130 Coko is an Eau de Parfum. 130 Coko opens with Mandarin, Rose, Jasmine, and Coriander, settles into a heart of Clover, Orange Blossom, Rose, and Mimosa, and dries down to a base of Amber, Sandalwood, Vanilla, and Tonka Bean. Blossom Perfumery's 130 Coko carries an Acquired verdict, a oriental-led wear.

No. 130 borrows Coco by Chanel's spicy-floral-oriental blueprint - clove, rose and orange blossom over amber and vanilla - but the animalic civet and sandalwood depth is muted, so the sultry, jazz-club darkness the original is known for comes across flatter here.

About

Blossom Perfumery's No. 130 takes on Coco by Chanel, one of Chanel's most opulent orientals: a fruity-floral opening of peach, mandarin and Bulgarian rose, a clove-and-orange-blossom heart, and an amber-vanilla-tonka base rounded out with civet and labdanum. The overall spicy-oriental impression lands well, and the fruit-and-clove opening is a close nod to the real thing. Where it comes up short is complexity - Coco's famous animalic warmth and 24-hour staying power are toned down considerably here, leaving a sweeter, simpler amber-vanilla drydown that settles quickly rather than smouldering for hours. A softer, more wearable everyday version of a fragrance built to be worn sparingly and boldly.
