Blossom Perfumery 417 Bad Boy is an Eau de Parfum. 417 Bad Boy opens with Bergamot, Pepper, and Pink Pepper, settles into a heart of Cedar and Sage, and dries down to a base of Dark Chocolate, Tonka Bean, and Amberwood. Blossom Perfumery's 417 Bad Boy carries an Acquired verdict, a spicy-led wear.

417 borrows Carolina Herrera's Bad Boy blueprint - peppery bergamot up top, cedarwood and sage at the heart, tonka and amberwood underneath. The pepper hits harder and cheaper in the opening than the original's sleeker spice, and the whole thing collapses to a faint sweetness within a few hours, but as an evening-only stand-in it captures the gist.

About

417 is Blossom Perfumery's version of Carolina Herrera's Bad Boy, opening with the same electric black pepper and bergamot combination before easing into cedarwood and sage. The base leans on tonka bean, amberwood and a touch of cocoa for a smooth, slightly sweet finish. The dupe nails the opening accord reasonably well, but it plays flatter and more one-note than the original's layered spice-and-leather construction, and it fades from the skin well before the four-hour mark. Treat it as a cheap way to sample the general silhouette for a night out rather than a true stand-in for longevity or projection.
