Impactus

Dubai Essences Impactus is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2022. Impactus opens with Lavender, Cardamom, and Pepper, settles into a heart of Incense, Patchouli, and Tonka Bean, and dries down to a base of Vanilla, Amber, and Woody. Dubai Essences's Impactus carries an Acquired verdict, a sweet-led wear.

A budget Invictus Victory interpretation built on lavender and cardamom up top, an incense and patchouli heart, and a thick vanilla and amber base that gives the dry-down genuine elixir weight.

Best Seasons

Best For:
Fall Winter

Lavender-cardamom top with incense and vanilla-amber base sits best in cooler months where the rich resinous dry-down has room to project; the heavy base reads cloying in summer heat.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Casual Formal
Also Works:
Office

Strong projection and rich sweet-amber profile suit date, evening and formal wear in cooler weather; office use needs a lighter hand on the sprays and the structure has no overlap with sport.

About

Impactus is the Dubai Essences reading of Paco Rabanne Invictus Victory, opening with the lavender and cardamom pairing that defines the original's first impression. Black pepper adds a quiet warmth and the lavender keeps the top legible as fougere rather than tilting fully into oriental territory. The heart pulls in incense, patchouli, and a touch of tonka bean. The incense is the most prominent of the three and gives the heart phase the sacred-resinous identity that Invictus Victory built its reputation on. Patchouli adds depth and tonka primes the sweetness that the dry-down delivers in full. The base is vanilla and amber with supporting woody notes, and this is where the dupe earns its money. The vanilla is rich and creamy and the amber gives the base the rounded, almost-gourmand weight that distinguishes the original from the standard Invictus EDT. Projection is moderate-to-strong for the first three hours and the wear stretches to seven or eight on skin. In the dupe-house landscape it competes with Lattafa Yara Tous and Maison Alhambra Imperative Victorious as a budget Invictus Victory alternative, with Impactus reading the most amber-vanilla forward of the three and the closest to the elixir-tier sweetness.
