Duppe Scents Crimson 21 is an Eau de Parfum. Crimson 21 opens with Cinnamon and Blackberry, settles into a heart of Cedar, Patchouli, and Raspberry, and dries down to a base of Leather, Vanilla, and Tonka Bean. Duppe Scents's Crimson 21 carries an Acquired verdict, a leather-led wear.

Crimson 21 borrows the leather-and-spice backbone of Stephane Humbert Lucas's Venom Incarnat but pushes cinnamon and pepper harder up front, trading the original's dense berry-liqueur sweetness for a drier, smokier read.

About

Crimson 21 opens loud, with cinnamon and black pepper cutting through a dark berry note that stands in for the original's more syrupy strawberry-caramel blast. As it settles, smoky leather and earthy patchouli take over, echoing the Russian leather heart that makes Venom Incarnat so recognisable, while cedar keeps things dry rather than gourmand. The base is noticeably thinner than the original's - vanilla and tonka give it a soft finish, but the lingering, resinous depth of the real thing isn't fully there. What's left is a bolder, spicier opening on a flatter, shorter-lived body, closer in spirit than in substance but still clearly aiming at the same dark, seductive lane.
