Duppe Scents Heaven's Cut is an Eau de Parfum. Heaven's Cut opens with Cognac, settles into a heart of Oak, Cinnamon, and Tonka Bean, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood, Vanilla, and Praline. Duppe Scents's Heaven's Cut carries an Acquired verdict, a gourmand-led wear.

Heaven's Cut follows Angel's Share note for note - cognac up top, cinnamon and tonka through the heart, praline and sandalwood underneath - though the boozy warmth thins out noticeably faster than Kilian's original.

About

Heaven's Cut opens with the same rich cognac splash that made By Kilian's Angel's Share a modern gourmand icon, immediately setting a boozy, fireside tone. Cinnamon and tonka bean move in for the heart, giving a warm, spiced sweetness rather than anything sharp, and the base settles into praline, vanilla and sandalwood for a comforting, dessert-like finish. The structure is a faithful copy of the original's pyramid, and the opening hour is genuinely close. Where it falls short is staying power: Angel's Share is known for lasting most of a day with real depth in its dry-down, while Heaven's Cut's cinnamon and praline flatten out sooner, leaving a simpler vanilla-musk trail by the evening. For a cosy autumn or winter scent worn for a few hours, it does the job convincingly; for an all-day boozy hug, it runs out of steam.
