Legend Oud opens with a peppery hit of spice and saffron, the kind of loud, resinous opening that dupe-house oud blends lean on to signal luxury fast. Underneath, patchouli and rose form a fairly one-dimensional heart - there's warmth but not much movement, and the transition from top to base happens quickly rather than unfolding over hours. The base settles into amber and a generic woody accord that reads more like a synthetic oud facsimile than the animalic, resinous depth of real agarwood. Projection is strong for the first hour or two before falling to a skin-scent, and the overall shape is flatter and less nuanced than a proper niche oud composition - fine as an inexpensive gesture toward the oud category, but it trades complexity for volume.
