Goutal Ambre Fétiche is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2007, created by Isabelle Doyen and Camille Goutal. Ambre Fétiche opens with Amber, Vanilla, Labdanum, and Incense, settles into a heart of Iris and Benzoin, and dries down to a base of Leather, Patchouli, and Geranium. Goutal's Ambre Fétiche carries an Acquired verdict, a amber-led wear.

This one's a proper love-it-or-hate-it beast, and the old formulation is clearly regarded as superior. If you can get your hands on a vintage bottle, prepare for an earthy, smoky amber that demands attention.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Fall Winter

A cold-weather scent - best worn in winter and autumn.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Formal

This powerful, long-lasting scent with significant sillage means it’s definitely not for the office. Its rich, sensual nature and complex profile make it perfect for a dramatic date night or a formal evening, but it's far too heavy for casual wear or sport.

About

Ambre Fétiche opens with a profoundly dense, spiced amber and a rich, liturgical incense. Labdanum and styrax deepen the balsamic warmth. As it settles, iris and benzoin emerge, adding a touch of powdery sophistication, before a darkly compelling leather and earthy patchouli take over in the dry down, leaving a smoky, slightly animalic trail softened by vanilla.
